These policies are in place to ensure that fandom remains free. If in doubt, please feel free to contact me.

You may translate my fan fiction and post it on platforms of your choice provided you credit me as the original author and include a link to the original story on A03. You don't need to email me to ask for permission, I may not get to your emails as quickly as you need me to. 

OTHER CREATIVE WORKS

You are welcome to translate, create podfics, remix, create art or write your own fanfiction about any of the fanfiction universes I have created. 

 BOOKBINDING

You may create and distribute typesets and bind my fan fiction for your own personal use or as a gift/exchange, provided there is no exchange of money between parties. I do not currently provide permission for commissioned binding.

charging for my fandom works

You may not sell any version of this fic, including: printed copies, binds, typesets (including behind a paywall), digital copies (eg. PDFs), etc. As of 2023, you do not have my permission to print and distribute copies of any version of this fic, even if no profit is being made. 

FAN ART 

Please remember to check the policies of any of the artists who have created art based on my fan fiction prior to sharing or using it. I do not speak on behalf of these artists.

LIST OF 'SHIPS IN THE HARRY POTTER FANDOM

This article outlines how 'ship names are derived and provides a frighteningly comprehensive list of 'ships in the Harry Potter fandom.

Ratings

Ratings depend on the archive, but in general, these are the most common:

ARCHIVE OF OUR OWN (AO3)

  • Genaral audiences

  • Teens and up audiences

  • Mature audiences

  • Explicit - only suitable for adults

FANFICTION.NET

  • K: Content suitable for most ages, usually those aged five and older. It should be free of coarse language, violence, and adult themes. Equivalent to G

  • K+: Some content may not be suitable for young children, usually those below nine years of age. There may be minor violence without serious injury, mild suggestive material, or minor coarse language that is justified by context. Equivalent to PG

  • T: Contains content not suitable for children. Suitable for teens, 13 years and older. May contain moderate violence, coarse language, suggestive material, and/or adult themes such as drug addiction that are contextually justified. Equivalent to PG-13

  • M: Contains content suitable for mature teens and older only. Not suitable for children below 16 years. May contain non-explicit adult themes, references to (sexual) violence, frequent or strong coarse language, or drug use. Equivalent to R

  • MA: Contains explicit content suitable for mature adults only. May contain explicit sexual language and adult themes. Equivalent to NC-17.
